Software Requirements
Operating System
CloverDX Server is compatible with Windows 10 and Unix-based systems, as well as with other systems supporting Java (macOS, IBM System V, etc.). We test primarily on CentOS-7 (2009).
Internet Browsers
CloverDX Server supports:
-
Mozilla Firefox (latest)
-
Google Chrome (latest)
Since CloverDX 5.5, we no longer support Internet Explorer 11. |
Java Virtual Machine
-
Eclipse Temurin JDK 11 HotSpot (formerly AdoptOpenJDK) or Oracle JDK 8, 64 bit
-
IBM SDK 8 (for IBM WebSphere and Open Liberty only)
-
OpenJDK 8 with OpenJ9, also called IBM Semeru (for Open Liberty only)
CloverDX Server requires Java Development Kit (JDK) to run. CloverDX Server will run with limited functionality on Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and we strongly recommend against using JRE only.
Since CloverDX 5.2, we no longer support Oracle JDK 9. Also note that we do not support Oracle JDK 10 and OpenJDK 8, or AdoptOpenJDK 8. |
Application Servers Compatibility
Application Server | Eclipse Temurin JDK 11 | Oracle JDK 8 |
---|---|---|
Tomcat 9 |

VMware tc Server Standard (4.1, Tomcat 9.0) |
||
WebLogic Server 12cR2 (12.2.1) |
||
JBoss EAP 7.2 |
||
Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5.4 |
2 |
JDK 11 is supported only with JBoss EAP 7.2.2 and above; previous versions do not support multi-Release JARs (e.g. Log4j 2). |
Application Server | IBM SDK 8 | IBM Semeru 8 |
---|---|---|
WebSphere 9 |
||
Open Liberty 22.0.0.7 |
Database servers
CloverDX Server requires a database to store its configuration, track job execution history and other events.
We support the following database servers. CloverDX Server will work with various versions of each database, although we only test on some versions as detailed for each database.
The evaluation version of CloverDX Server uses an embedded Apache Derby database to make the installation simpler and faster. The Derby database is supported for evaluation purposes with Tomcat 9 application container only. We do not support using the Derby database in production environment. Instead, you must choose one of the databases in the list above.
